Our motivation for taking coffee from a mere beverage to a holistic experience is inspired by the encounter Apostle Paul (named Saul, at the time) had with Jesus in Acts chapter 9 of the Bible. The ‘Damascus Road Experience’ refers to arguably the most unexpected conversion of all time. Saul of Tarsus was known for hating Christians. He breathed threats and persecuted them “beyond measure” (Galatians 1:13). On his way to Damascus, determined to persecute any Christian in his path - in his deepest depths of darkness - a light shone around him from heaven. Saul fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” The voice replied, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.” This encounter changed everything. This moment shaped Saul and transformed him into “Paul.” His identity was rewired and he became transformed into a chosen vessel, handpicked by Jesus to share salvation with the people of Israel.
